About Us |
The Travel Business Partnership (TBP) is a network of market analysts and business journalists who have all worked in the travel industry in different parts of the world for many years. TBP's Managing Partner - and the Editorial Director of Travel Markets and City Profiles - is Nancy Cockerell, who has close to 30 years experience working in the travel and tourism industry, either in publishing or in customised research and consultancy. She is a well-known commentator on industry trends and developments and is a frequent speaker at international conferences. From early 1998 to the end of 1999, Nancy headed up Travel & Tourism Intelligence, the successor to the Economist Intelligence Unit's Travel and Tourism division, for which she had previously worked on a part-time basis for 12 years. She was responsible for the development of the group's consultancy services, as well as the launch of a number of new subscription and research reports. Prior to joining TTI on a full-time basis, Nancy spent more than 17 years as a freelance travel industry analyst and consultant, based either in continental Europe or Hong Kong. She has worked, both on a retainer and a project basis, for governments, industry associations, and public and private sector organisations around the world. TBP's international editorial/research team also includes Jill Trewand Marion Bywater, both long-time contributors to the EIU and TTI, and Luc Citrinot, our Bangkok-based correspondent. Jill has spent 18 years of her working life in Hong Kong and is a former China specialist. Marion now splits her time between Rome and Brussels but has lived and worked in many countries around the world. In addition to its core, multi-lingual team of analysts and consultants, TBP has a large network of partners spread through all major tourism source countries and destinations. This means it can closely monitor changing trends in all key markets, and can provide timely and effective analysis of developments impacting on travel and tourism in all four corners of the globe. |
